Living Pizza

One of the ladies I work with invited Logan out to their farm to participate in the Living Pizza. This is the first year they are doing it and they wanted some volunteers to try out the concept. Her husband manages Donatos and they have a farm produce stand as well. He wanted to create the Living Pizza to educate children about where their food comes from. He spent lots of time plowing the field into a circle and plotting it out so it looks like a Donatos pizza. When we got there,  he showed Logan how to plant a tomato plant. The idea is the kids will plant all the ingredients for their pizza and then watch it grow.

Logan was good for about 5 minutes then he was ready to move on to more exciting things such as playing with the dog and collecting rocks. Overall it was a beautiful night, spent with wonderful friends and Logan got to get all dirty. Life is good!

What an awesome idea!! And I'm glad you like the buffalo chicken dip. Someone brought it to a party one time and I looked forever to find the recipe. I found it on www.allrecipes.com but had to change it a bit to fit in an 8 by 8 or 13 by 9 pan. Its just easier transporting it to parties that way I think :)
