Kicking Off The Christmas Season
It has become an annual tradition to visit a local outdoor mall for their Christmas Tree Lightning. I love starting off our Christmas Season at the Greene. This year it was Logan and Aunt Weez that joined me. Since this was our second year, we had a better idea of how the festivities went, we had a game plan. We there early and spent some time walking around. Cheryl's cookies were handing out samples and Logan scored a mini brownie by having his picture taken with the cookie mascots. Then we went and watched the camel rides and the nativity scene. We staked out our spots for the parade and then spent some time with all the characters walking around. After the parade was finished, we scored a great spot in the center and got ready for the tree lighting. It is always so much fun and they do a great job, complete with fake snow. We left the mall and headed to my favorite local pizza place, Marions. This was Logan's first time at Marions and he fell in love. Since it was the weekend after Logan's birthday, we had a mini celebration with my aunt complete with a turkey cake. It is always such a wonderful way to get the Christmas season started.
