We celebrated my birthday on time, actually a few days early, but I am late blogging about it! This seems to be life, I will get caught up. When you have a January 3rd birthday, it is typically celebrated on January 3rd because that is when everyone is still off work. This year we had dinner at our favorite steak house and cake later. It cracks Logan up when they come over and do the birthday cheer at Dakotas, so of course that was a must! They give little cakes for your birthday, so we enjoyed that later in the evening since we were all stuffed from our yummy meal. Of course at 32, I couldn't possibly blow out my own candle so Logan stepped in to help! I was blessed with many gifts. Of course I was so lucky(not) that our first day back to school after Christmas break was my birthday!
Also I can't believe it is the end of January and we have not had a snow day or snow delay. CRAZY! Sorry for all you non teachers out there, but there is nothing better than a snow day. I love getting the call, laying in bed longer, and they trying to figure out what to do for the rest of the day. I am worried one day we are going to get hit with snow but for right now I am really missing them. We do have incentive, we get all Fridays off in May if we don't go over our five, but I would like to use our 5.
Logan is also sad about the lack of snow because it has meant no sledding or snow man building.
Someone was excited about all the birthday fun!
Ready for cake time
Got the candle ready
Ready to blow out the candle
YUM!

Happy B -day a little late!! No snow days here either and Maddy's teacher told me that she's been praying for a blizzard so they get a snow day!! Funny!!

Happy belated birthday! We've had 1 snow day and hit or miss storms. My husband and girls would love to see more snow days. How cool that you might have shortened work weeks in May though. I've never heard of that before. My husband would be totally jealous. All that beautiful snow from the weekend is gone. Yesterday it hit 55 degrees. Crazy.
Looks like you had a great birthday. We love snow days too! Wish we had some!
Happy late Birthday! Looks like it was fun!
I am with you on the snow days. I like at least one good snow each year!!
Sounds like a great b-day, but yea, would have been better if a snow day was called!! We had one little snowfall, so I went out and bought snow boots and a sled to be prepared for the next one, and it's yet to come!! And for the record, I think brown is your color. It's mine too, but I keep buying black. :)
Happy Belated Birthday!! I love snow days too because there are no expectations! Hot cocoa and movies! And sledding! I sure hope we get SOME this year!!
Happy Belated Birthday! I hope you get some snow soon for Logan's sake :)
