So since I have been battling the winter blahs this year, I have spent time trying to find some weekend escapes to have something to look forward to. Lucky for Logan, I found out the Newport Aquarium is having free admission for kids for the month of February. The weekend before Valentine's Day we headed south for some tropical fun. We had fun looking at all the tropical fish, a giant crocodile and lots of sharks. Afterwards we stopped for ice cream on the way home. It was the perfect escape and thanks to a great deal, a cheap one too.
Checking out how sea turtles hatch
Help-A Shark is eating my hand!
Checking out Mighty Mike the 14 foot crocodile
Watching the scuba divers in the shark tank
I think he has a little growing to do before I reaches Mighty Mike
Taking a ride on a frog
Life Size Frogger
Watching the sharks
You could look through this tube down into the shark tank
The highlight was getting to pet a shark

What a fantastic aquarium! Josie and Logan would have such fun together!! Are you expected to get any of this storm that is headed our way on Tuesday?
Wow -- that is such a cool aquarium!! Funny coincidence --hmmm-- am thinking you did some praying for that snow day! :)
Happy Monday!
Fun!! I love how wet his shirt is in that last picture. Obviously he really got into the experience. So cute!
Looks like a fun trip! My kids were disappointed about not having a snow day on Friday, but they did get a two hour late start. We received 7 inches of snow, but the wind didn't blow as predicted, therefore we went to school. Hoping that we get a few more inches of snow out of the next storm coming on Tuesday. Have a great week!
What a fun outing! Cute pictures!
Hurry up, spring!
I adore that last photo! He just looks so thrilled with the entire experience. That alligator is CRAZY big!
