Easter Weekend Fun

It has been way to long since I have done an update. These past few months have been absolutely crazy and I can't even begin to tell the story, maybe someday but today is not it. I for one am more than happy to say goodbye to winter, it was long and cold. I have loved being able to open the windows and let in the fresh spring air the past few days even if it has been raining. The end of the school year is coming(although some days it can not come soon enough). I can't wait for summer, it always brings fun and relaxation.  Logan and Madison's parents have permanently split which has meant sharing time and holidays. Easter was one of those holidays, so our family celebrated with the kids on the Saturday before.

We began the day at our church Easter egg hunt and then finished with opening baskets and coloring eggs. Sunday I spend time with my parents, my brother, his girlfriend and my grandma. It was a different holiday but we are adjusting to this new way of life. It was a beautiful weekend hopefully a preview of the beautiful weather that is to come. I also realized this weekend that as sad as I get sometimes that the kids are growing up it is fun to see them in this stage of life. Be sure to check out all the teeth Logan has lost, Madison has lost a few too.

These were from Palm Sunday, the kids were in the program at church

He thinks he is pretty cool in his shades.

Check out all those missing teeth

Ready to hunt eggs

Checking out their Easter baskets from Aunt Court

Coloring eggs has always been an Easter tradition

It is hard to realize that they aren't little any more, but the next stage of their lives is exciting also. I am with you on it being time for winter to end and for the school year to end also.

I know it's hard to keep up the blog... but I'm so glad you are doing it! Those kiddos are going to love all you've documented about their lives! And I enjoy following along, so you know, if nothing else, do it for me. Tee Hee! :) It looks like you enjoyed a nice Easter, even if it was a little different than "normal". :)

The end of the school year countdown has happened at our house too. It's been such a cold and dreary start to spring. Fingers crossed that the sunshine and warmer temps decide to stick around. Thinking of you and your sweet niece and nephew.
