How's that for a title! Today is my first day of school. I have to say like the kids, there are so many emotions. I am excited to start a new year, but after last year I am apprehensive. Last year was probably my worst year of teaching. I had some highlights and I have some precious students, but I had some challenges that at times I thougth might get the best of me. I remember being so excited about the start of the year and within weeks, it all came tumbling down. I had the some challenges, and they were all thrown in a room together, thanks to our own form of tracking. Not a good thing, but I survived with only a few bruises (mental and physical). I guess that is one of the job hazards, but I am hoping not to repeat it this year. I am trying to have a positive attitude about this year and I am excited just a little cautious. I will keep you updated and will post classroom pics a little later.
Okay enough of school talk, onto the fair fun! Logan and I always enjoy visiting the county fair here in my town. This year it was just the two of us and we had the best time. It was so hot, as in I had sweat dripping from places it should never be and we were there at 7 in the evening. I felt so bad for all the exhibitors that were there all day every day. We spent a few hours taking in the sights and then left and headed for the McD's drive thru because we were too hot to eat at the fair. We came home showered, cool off and enjoyed some late night dinner. We were both more than ready to fall into bed that night.
It is a tradition to ride the ponies.
This picture makes me sad. Why you ask? This is the first year Logan can climb the big
equipment without any help. :( Somone is growing up.

I totally get your apprehension.... been there myself. It's great that each year is fresh!! And oh, climbing the equipment himself? These little signs of growing up always make me a little bit sad... and proud at the same time. :) Please keep us posted on your school year as it moves forward!!
