Between snow and sickness, this winter has been a bust! I got sick the day after Christmas, and didn't really start feeling better until the last week in January. We have also been hit with snow this winter, more than I can remember. Put those two things together and it doesn't allow for much fun. My birthday is January 3 but we usually always celebrate around New Year's day, because everyone is still off work and school. We went with that plan this year and it was a good thing because the next two days, we were stuck inside with a huge snow storm. We decided to meet at the pizza place in my hometown. It ended up just being me, my mom, my grandma and Logan because everyone else was home sick! We had pizza for lasagna for lunch and then we ordered this dessert bread that was so yummy. It was there sub buns covered with butter, cinnamon and sugar- it was good (and that is coming from someone who is not a big fan of sweets). After lunch and dessert, I opened my presents. I have to share a funny Logan story. I opened a pair of earrings from my grandma and she was explaining that she thought they were nice because they would go with everything because they kinda picked up the color you were wearing. Fast forward to a few weeks later and I wore them to church one Sunday with a black shirt and pink vest. As we were sitting eating lunch, Logan announces that my earrings aren't working because they didn't change colors!

Opening up my earrings that don't work!
He got to have some Kindle time while we were waiting. He has gotten me hooked on this crazy shark game!

Oh my -- you have really had the bad winter = sick and bad weather! I say, snow, snow go away!
So funny about Logan's comment on the earrings! :) Have a good day!
Love Logan's comment. That's too funny. It has been a very long winter. To be sick on top of it, makes it even worse.
Love Logan's smile as he watched you open your gift- too bad everyone else was sick- seems to be a theme in many households this winter. UGH!
I love this. That's the cutest story with Logan. It's amazing how kids take everything so literal. Also, I could have eaten that whole pan of dessert!!
Logan's comment about the earrings is such a classic kid response. They don't forget a thing and they are always honest.
It has been a long winter! I think you should start celebrating your half birthday too!
Logan is such a funny guy!
I hope you are having a great weekend!
