In the middle of June I had to make a trip to Columbus to pick up some tickets. To this small town girl, Columbus is the big city. I have just recently become comfortable (with the help of my GPS) traveling around the city. I decided since I had to go up there anyway, I might as well make an adventure out of it. Logan and I headed out the morning. Our first stop was to pick up the tickets, well that ended up being two stops. The second stop was close to the capital building so we took a walk over there to look around the grounds and get some pictures. After that we headed to the downtown splash pad and it was so much fun. We lucked out and the day that we were there was a special event day so they had free ice cream, a planting station and characters walking around-SCORE! We ended up spending 3 hours there, Logan had fun in the water and I had fun people watching. We ended the day with lunch out at Cracker Barrel and then headed home.
This is post 399 and I have a give away for my 400th post!
Ready for the day
In front of the statehouse
Enjoying an ice cream sandwich
Planting tomatoes
Headed down to the splash pad
What a fun place!

I don't "do" city driving either... proud of you for using your GPS and doing it. Now I'm wondering what tickets you picked up. hmmmmm. Glad it turned out to be a "bonus" kind of day! :)
You are a brave woman. Big city driving isn't my favorite thing in the world. I've learned to enjoy my GPS system since our trip our west.
The bonus part of the trip would have been the most fun.
Wow! What a fun trip! I am definitely a small town girl too and I don't drive in big cities either!
Hope you are enjoying your summer!
