Memorial Day

So it is after July 4th and I am just now blogging about Memorial Day. It could be worse, it could be Labor Day!! Summer is flying by and I can't believe it is already the second week in July. I am totally ignoring the fact that when I walked in Wal*M*rt the other day, I was faced with school supplies. I am not ready to go there yet!

Memorial Day weekend is always a busy one, since it is graduation weekend. We had lots of graduation parties this year. On a total side note, my first class that I taught will be graduation next year-UNBELIEVEABLE! So back to Memorial Day, we spend time with family on Sunday. We had Madison so she had fun playing outside with her bike (well Logan's old bike) and pushing around her baby dolls. My aunt, uncle and cousins came down for a quick visit and we went and put flowers on my grandpa's grave. It makes me a little sad that Madison has no memories of my grandpa since she was only 4 months old when he passed away. Logan on the other hand mentions him every Sunday when we drive past the cemetery. So for Madison this trip was more about looking at all the pretty flowers.  On Monday we had my cousins graduation party and then Logan came home with me because he was going to school with me the next day!

We take time to stop and smell the peonies

Who needs double strollers when you can just stack the babies up!

Darling pictures. Enjoy your summer. I was a little scared to turn the calendar to July!

Crazy how Madison no longer looks "baby" to me. she is looking like such a big girl these days. Make it stop!! Just close your eyes as you go by those school supplies. Plenty of summer left!! :)

I cannot think about going back to school yet either, but I did buy the kids some mechanical pencils the other day when a 30-pack was on sale for $1.99. Too good of a deal to pass up.

Hope you are having a good summer!
