Just Another Monday

I am having a rough time adjusting to this new school schedule. I think this summer really spoiled me. I am a laid back girl and I love my time. It has been hard adjusting to this new go, go, go school schedule, but I am tackling it each day! That said, I am loving this years class. By now the personalities are starting to come out(good and bad). I feel like this is going to be a great year. It was just announced today that our school was ranked Excellent. This is wonderful news, since we have been working really hard to attain this. As far as Logan goes, he is putting more and more words together. I am just amazed that each time I see him, he has learned more new things. His new phrase is "cuse me"(excuse me). He has also picked up humming. Last night I was driving him home and he was in the back seat just humming away! These pictures are from last 2 Fridays ago when we went to the playground at the lake. Well I have completed my first week of school and boy am I exhausted. Every year I forget how much energy that first week takes. Top that off with insomnia and you have one tired girl. I am excited about this year and my class. They seem like a wonderful group of kids and by Friday I was starting to see their personalities shine through. I am also excited that next week we start a semi-normal schedule. I love diving into things and really getting to know the kids. I am sharing some photos of my classroom this year!

Flashback Friday- First Visit To Aunt Court's New School

This is a picture taken last August in my new classroom. My parent's brought Logan up to tour the new school and see my new classroom. Looking back I can't believe we have been in the school a year. I am hoping to do a post next week of my classroom this year. I start on Monday and the kids will be there Wednesday. Where did the summer go?

Summer Bliss

One of my favorite things about summer is the taste of corn on the cob. Logan experienced this joy last week at a picnic. He loved it and almost cleaned off the whole ear. I am including a video of his corn on the cob experience! Happy Monday!!! P.S. I just realized that this is my last Monday of not working!

My Little Fishy

Logan loves the water, so I decided last Tuesday to take him to the pool. We decided to go to the city pool, but what I didn't realize is they close for the county fair. We changed plans and went to the pool in the neighboring town, where I used to teach. It worked out perfectly and we had tons of fun. Logan wasn't too sure about the baby pool, but was soon splashing and dumping water on Aunt Court(he thought this was hilarious)! Enjoy the pictures. Happy Friday!

Wordless Wednesday

Okay it is not completely wordless, but I had to share that Logan said "Love You" to me on the phone tonight for the first time. It brought tears to my eyes to hear him say it in his sweet voice!

First Sleepover

Logan had his first sleepover this past Monday night. We spent the evening at the fair and then he came to my place to spend the night. He was very good and only got Aunt Court up once during the night. I made up a little bed on the floor in my room. At about 7:30 I woke up to him calling my name. He had his head under my bed with his little butt sticking up in the air (sorry there is no picture of this, I am not that awake in the morning). He went back to sleep until about 9:30 which gave me time to get up and shower and get ready for the day. He enjoyed toast and oranges for breakfast and then we headed to the pool ( I will post on this later).
