Jump!

Okay so it is almost December and I am just finishing up October, that seems to be the story of my life right now! This is the first year that Logan was REALLY into jumping in the leaves. He waited for 2 weeks to do it and boy was he ready. I was excited to give my new camera a try to capture all the motion. He loved jumping and then insisting that I rake another pile, because he just couldn't do. It is a good thing he is cute!

Disney on Ice

When I got a call in the middle of the afternoon at school from my brother, I automatically thought something was wrong. My heart was racing as I called him back because I thought for sure something was wrong. Well it turns out he had won tickets to Disney on Ice for right after school that day. The timing was perfect because I had the next day off school.  So after school I raced to my brothers house, ate some dinner and got two excited little ones ready for Disney on Ice. My parents and grandma also joined us for the evening (yes he scored 8 free tickets).  We scored amazing parking and actually ended up with a backstage tour because of the entrance they took us in. We found our seats and got ready for the show. We picked up the large refillable bucket of popcorn and two little ones were set for the evening.  Madison sat next to me and she was amazed by the whole. show. Logan made it till intermission and they he got a little wiggly but overall they both did really well..
Ready to go in

I think someone is excited

This was one of Logan's favorite parts!

Madison's Visit To The Pumpkin Patch

Of course Madison could not be left out of the pumpkin patch fun. I took her to a pumpkin patch closer to my house and she loved it. It was a windy day so we just about blew away! She had fun picking up all the pumpkins and harassing loving on all the farm cats. We also took a drive out to the local state park and went to visit the dam and spillway.  Madison thought it was funny that she was walking on top of the water. I think the pictures speak for themselves!

I know this is Madison's post, but some of you have been asking about how Logan is doing. He will be having his second MRI on Monday to compare results. Pray for a good outcome and no changes.

This one is just my size!

Happy Birthday Logan!

Today Logan turns 4, it is so hard to believe. I really feel like it was just yesterday that I was standing holding him in the hospital. I bought my new car the year he was born and I really thought 5 years seemed like forever that I would have it paid off. I am only a year away- good for car payments, bad for a little guy growing up to fast. Logan has had an exciting year. He has started preschool and had his first medical scare. So far everything is great on the medical front. We celebrated this weekend with all things CARS! We had a fun relaxing lunch on Sunday with just my grandma, Logan and I . We really cherish the time we spend with just the three of us. Tonight, Logan will be performing in his first preschool production, I can't wait to see my favorite little turkey. He is all boy and full of energy!

Happy Birthday to my favorite little man!

Fall Pictures

My mom has a picture wall in her family room, but their was one person missing. She didn't have a large picture of Madison, and Madison was starting to notice. She will go over and name everyone one and then say, Where Madison? They had pictures taken at a studio and they were horrible. I had mentioned that I thought I could get a better one. So I lucked out and had a sick day off for some appointments and had time off in between. I went over dressed Madison up (she is my living doll you know) and we headed over to my old college campus for some pictures. I graduated from Wilmington College and one of my favorite things is the beautiful campus. We had so much fun wondering all around campus and Miss Madison thought she was big stuff. We got the perfect shot early on, but had fun just taking a morning walk all around the campus.

Test Shot

I was worried we were going to get more shots like this, then

We got the perfect one

Visitng the rock (it looks like she is trying to read it). The Rock is in the front of the college and it is a tradition for incoming students to sign the rock. It is repainted throghout the year. I loved sharing this day with Madison, it was a fun walk down memory lane.

Pumpkin Fun

I really wanted to believe that things at work would slow down, but they are still coming at a fast pace. I am so blessed with the most wonderful class in the world, but all this curriculum stuff is driving me crazy. I am just taking it day by day and trying to make it work. It is good stuff, just lots of work that comes with change. I have been horrible at reading blogs and updating, as most nights by the time I finish my work, I am fast asleep on my pillow! HA!

Fall is my favorite season, so I always make sure to cram in as much fun as possible( this may be causing some of my stress, but it is good stress). The first weekend in October, my grandmother and I  decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather and take Logan to the pumpkin patch. We went to a new one this year and it was PERFECT. Logan had so much fun and we enjoyed taking it all in. It was fun to just relax and enjoy things through his eyes. I love the age he is at right now, maybe I convince him to freeze and not grow any more.

Posing before we left

Lots of fun animals to play with

This slide was so much fun and best of all you landed in corn!

There were lots of pumpkins

A very cool barrel train ride

The weather was perfect that day

I didn't pose him, but this picture turned out perfect

Preschool

While trying to catch up on blogging, I forgot a very important event, Logan's first day of preschool. He loves it! He is in a private Christian preschool which is perfect for him. He goes two days a week, for two and half hours, which I think is the perfect amount for a 3 year old.

It is so much fun hearing about what he is doing in school. It is always so funny when he tells me about a song that they sing and he is amazed that I know it. He done very well. I am excited because this month he has his first school program and we will all be there cheering him on.

I wanted to have some special time with Logan before his first day of school. I would have loved to have taken him out for breakfast, but that silly thing called work just keeps getting in my way! So I decided the night before I would take him out to dinner.  I left school and went to pick him up. He got to pick the restaurant, which was McD's.  We get inside and start to order and he informs me that he is going to get sick. We put the order on hold and race to the bathroom.  I will spare the details, but he was just conjested and wanted to proceed with dinner. I grab him and chicken sandwich and Sprite and grab my dinner an we sit down. He ate a few bites and said he was full. I didn't press the issue and told him he could go play. He comes back after 5 minutes and said he was ready to go home (not typical).  So we pack up and leave, not exactly the special dinner I had in my mind. We head home and after a 102 temp and trip to Urgent Care, he couldn't attend his first day of school!!! So he started preschool the following week. What a crazy start to his preschool career. I had pictures from that night, but for the life of me, I can't find them on my computer!

Logan's official paparazi photographer was not on hand so I had to settle for pictures taken by someone else. They are out of order and I am just too tired to try to rearrange!
