We Are The Peaches

Our church held their Bible School in the middle of June. This year the theme was The Fruit of The Spirit. Each age group was assigned a fruit. I was the preschool teacher and our group was the peaches. Part of the program was we had to come up with a cheer. Logan and Madison both learned the cheer quickly and Madison is still going around saying it today. It was a simple cheer, nothing overly creative, We are the peaches oh so sweet! Logan and Madison both had a great time but it is fun to watch Logan at this age because he is soaking up everything. Unfortunately I had to miss out on two days thanks to my dry socket, but I had great people to take over.

As a reward for singing during music practice, they got to hold the giant inflatable fruit.

Safety First

The fire department in my hometown, puts on a safety day on a Sunday in June. We try to go every year because Logan enjoys checking out all the equipment.  We ate out lunch then headed over to the parking lot next door to check out everything. It was super hot but that seems to be the story here this summer. Logan loves checking out the helicopters and of course spraying water from the water hose!

Noah's Birthday Party

We always love kicking off the summer with Noah's birthday party. One of my best friends son was turning six and we always love to help celebrate.  It was a cool and windy evening, something we are all wishing for now!We had fun playing outside and enjoying the luau. They had hot dogs, fruit kabobs and chips for dinner. We topped the evening off with cupcakes decorated like the beach.

Also I would appreciate thoughts and prayers tomorrow morning as I have my first root canal. I will be glad to check this off my summer list.. ha, ha!

Bubble Day

This is my final May post-WOO_HOO! The last week of school is always a crazy one and lets be honest, not very educational! The kids came back for 2 days after Memorial Day. One of those days we had an all day bubble day. It is an exhausting day but so much fun. Each classroom is a station with a different activities. We have bubble snacks, stories, bubble wrap , and songs. At the end of the day we all go outside and each kid gets a bottle of bubbles and we blow bubbles.  I asked the principal if it would be okay if Logan came for the end of the day bubble blowing extravaganza. She said it was fine. He was so excited to come and meet the kids.  He had a fun being a big kid and following them around. I have tons of pictures but unfortunatly I can't show a lot of them due to the fact that a lof of my kids can't have their picture displayed. Also excuse the mess in the background of my classroom, I was knee deep in packing up a classroom.

Memorial Day

I know it is now after the 4th of July and I am just posting about Memorial Day, someday I will get caught up. This summer has been super busy, probably one of the busiest I have had in years. I feel like I am already on the downward slide towards school and that makes me sad and excited at the same time. I still have so many things to squeeze into summer but I am also getting excited about starting school and my new position this year. I am meeting with my co-teacher on Monday to arrange our room. :)

Anyway back to Memorial Day before I was out of school! We had a laid back weekend because I was so stinkin tired from packing boxes and moving.  I went shopping at Wal*art to find some bubbles for bubble day and our course got distracted with other things( does this happen to anyone else). Any way I noticed this pool sitting on the shelf and thought that would be a great thing to have at  my grandmas for some Sunday entertainment. It doesn't have to be blown up and it is easy to store and the best thing ever is it was only $10. I have to say that with all  this summer heat, it is the best $10. I have spend. So I told Logan I had a suprise for him after church and his nap. He was beyond excited when he found out what it was and the best thing is I can cool off in it too(sorry there are no pictures of that).

Oh yeah, in all the excitement of finding this glorious pool in Wal*art, I forgot the bubbles that I went in for in the first place!

I hope everyone has a chance to spend the day enjoying this midsummer celebration. Last night we went to a community picnic and fireworks display. Today I will be spending the day relaxing at home. At the end of May, a photographer came to K*ogers store where my brother lives. They brought a pony and props to use in the pictures. What is more all American than cowboys and cowgirls!
