Christmas Day

On Christmas Day, we headed to my grandparent's house for lunch and more presents. We had turkey and all the fixings as well as loads of dessert and lots of other yummy treats. Logan didn't join us for lunch as he was napping, that was best for all of us! After Logan got up from his nap we opened our presents. I got lots of new clothes and some decorations for the house. The highlight for Logan was the four-wheeler that my grandparents got him. We have spent a lot of time in their basement practicing on it and he has perfected it! He will have so much fun cruising around their farm this summer. I have a video that I will share later of him riding the four-wheeler.

Let the gift opening begin

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve we always go to my mom's side of the family with lots of aunts/uncles and cousins. It is held at the same place where we have Thanksgiving. We have meat trays, veggie trays and lots of appetizers, my favorite.  We had fun catching up with everyone, since we only see them twice a year. Enjoy all the pictures.

Christmas Part 1

We started the Christmas celebration on Wednesday with my parents. My mom made dinner and then we exchanged gifts. It was really nice to do it this way, because Logan was really overwhelmed on Christmas day. My mom made BBQ, baked potatoes and green bean casserole. I brought some of the yummy treats that my students had made me for Christmas. I found a great steal on a BRIO train set and jumped on the chance, so that is what Logan got from me for Christmas, along with books and a shirt. I also got Logan and Madison theirHallmark ornaments, Logan is on the third in his series and Madison got her first. I hope everyone is recovering from the holidays. Stay tuned, I will be hosting a 100 post giveaway soon!

My parent's bought this camera for Logan's mom but he was convinced it was for Aunt Court. I guess we can see who takes all the pictures in the family.

Christmas Under Water

On Monday we went to the Newport Aquarium. It was wonderful because it was not crowded, at times we felt like we had the whole place to ourselves! Logan had lots of fun and the highlight of the visit was Scuba Santa. Logan has been talking about him for weeks. It was neat because you go into a theater and they show a short movie and then the screen goes up and you can see inside the tank. Santa talks to the kids and the animals swim all around him. At the end of the show, they invite the students up and they get a photo taken with Santa. I was so amazed that Logan was not afraid to touch the animals. He stuck his hand right into the shark tank (which was very cold) and went about petting the sharks. NO FINGERS WERE LOST! After the aquarium we went and had lunch at Johnny Rockets and walked around Newport on the Levi.  We also to Logan to the Dollar Tree to pick out gifts for his parents and sister.

Tonight I am going to my parents with my brother and his family. This is the first year we have not done Christmas morning at my parents, but we have to share with everyone else. Have a great day!

Happy 3 Month Birthday

Madison is three months old today. She just rolled over for the first time yesterday. She is smiling and interacting more. She is still a pretty fussy baby, we are hoping that will change soon. Logan is doing much better with her and rarely hits her. Have a great Tuesday, Christmas is just around the corner!

Here We Go A Caroling

Two Sundays ago, our church went caroling at the local nursing home and assisted living. The older ladies were just eating Logan up. It was so nice to see the joy on their faces. My Sunday school class made cards and the kids passed them out. After we finished singing, we headed over to a local pizza place to enjoy pizza with all our church friends.

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. We had our first major snow, which has really helped to get me in the Christmas spirit.I finished all of my wrapping and I just have a few more grft cards to pick up. If the weather cooperates, we will be heading to the Newport Aquarium to check out he scuba diving Santa. Logan is so excited to see Ho-Ho in the water!

I also wanted to give you an update on Tyler- They are moving him to a rehab center that specializes in spinal injuries. He is ready for lots of hard work.

Flashback Friday-Christmas Last Year

Last year was a fun Christmas with Logan. He was really into opening presents and playing with everything. I am sure this year will be just as much, if not more fun. Enjoy all the pictures and have a great weekend!
