Happy Fall

I am so glad that fall is finally here. It looks like cooler weather is coming in next week. I can't wait to visit the pumpkin patch and do all the other fun things that come along with fall. I just bought some yummy apples at the store and a jug of apple cider.

I spent last weekend pulling up my summer flowers and putting out my fall decor. Have a great first full week of fall!

The view of my large window. I have leaf garland and two pumpkin lights.

The birdhouse by my door. This little scarecrow was one of the first holiday decorations I bought when I moved in 4 year ago.

The end of my patio. I got this beautiful mum at a local greenhouse where I get all my flowers for just $5!

My shelf in my living room, I need to get new framed pictures of Madison.

Madison Ann

I just got home from visiting Madison and she is perfect(maybe I am a little bias). Everyone is happy and healthy. As soon as I got there we had to put her new bow in her hair. I mean seriously, the girl had spent the first 9 hours of her life without bow, she has a lot to learn from Aunt Court. Logan is not sure about her and mostly chooses to ignore her and pretend that she is not there. I hate to tell him but I tried that 23 years ago with his father and it doesn't work. Everyone will be home tomorrow if all goes well tonight.

I have already found Madison's boyfriend. One of my good friends had her baby yesterday and I got to spend some time with her and her little boy Trenton. I decided that he will be good boyfriend potential! I will let the pictures tell the rest of the story.

Guess Who Has Arrived

My niece Madison Ann has arrived. She was born this morning weighing in at 8lbs, 10oz and 21 inches long. I have only seen pictures so far from a camera phone, but she looks pretty darn cute. I have not been to the hospital yet, I taught this morning and I have my first physical therapy appt. in about an hour. I am heading to the hospital after that. I made her card this after noon and I have her present along with Logan's ready to go. I will have pictures to post tomorrow.

Logan's Gift( I know what it is to be the older sibling, they need gifts too) and Madison's Bag and Card

I made this monogram card( I love mongramed stuff)

Madison's gifts-Sleeper with lamb(Aunt Court loves lambs), a pink bow(one of many that I have for her), and Trumpet socks

Labor Day

We had a busy Labor Day weekend, so by Monday I was ready for a little rest. I spent the morning and afternoon cleaning and catching up on laundry. My parent's brought Logan up in the evening and we headed out to the local outlet mall. I camped out at the playground why they went to a few stores. Logan had a blast on the playground. It was so fun getting to watch him interact with other children. He had a blast and was worn out by the time we left. I will let the pictures do the rest of the talking.

On a personal note- This week I discovered that I have a severe case of tendenitis in my foot. I did not injure it, the doctor just said it is do to my extreme flat feet. I supposed to rest it(that is easy with 25 second graders) and I start physical therapy on Tuesday. I am praying this works because the next option is 2 weeks off work and I really don't want that. I just want it to get better so I can chase after a certain little nephew! Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

A Trip To The Fair

To say our trip to the fair was fabulous would be a lie. Unfortunatly the day we picked to go turned out to be rainy about 30 minutes after we got into the gate and Mr. Logan was in a bad mood. The combination was a bad one. Fortunatly for Logan he got to visit the fair again with his mom. unfortunatly for me, it was my only trip. As Logan like to tell the story, Court's hair wet, and that pretty much sums it up. We spent some time checking out the barns and displays but left after about an hour and a half. My comfort is that we had a great time at my fair in July and there will always be next year!

Woodland Mound Park

Last Saturday( September 5) we attended a graduation party for a family member. We only get to see this side of the family on special occasions every few years, so it was fun to catch up. A lot of them got to meet Logan for the first time and of course he was a hit. The graduation party was at Woodland Mount Park in Cincinnati, so there was lots of new territory to explore. By the end of the day everyone was hot and tired and full of lots of yummy picnic food.

Logan had a blast trying to figure out what to do with the rackets
He thought it was great that he could balance a wiffle ball on his finger
He had fun exploring this old equipment that we found on one of the trails
Enjoying a yummy hamburger

I think someone had a little too much fun!!

I will be doing post about the holiday weekend last week a little later. For now I am leaving you with a few pictures I took of Logan today. Have a great Sunday!

Flashback Friday/ Fair Fun Friday

We have a busy weekend ahead. A graduation party on Saturday and a trip to the Highland County Fair are on the agenda. These are photos from last years fair. Hopefully this year the weather will be cooler! I hope everyone enjoys their last "official" weekend of summer. I know I plan on resting up for a long stretch with no break!

Who Knew??

Telling a great story! Playing Outside
Catching Up On The Latest Farm News
So I was thinking tonight how my life has changed. If you had told me 2 years ago that I would enjoy buying little boy clothes more than a new Coach purse, I would have told you that you were crazy. If you would have told me 2 years ago that I would enjoy a quiet Sunday afternoon sitting outside watching a 19 month old ride his tractor on the driveway instead of shopping, I would have called you crazy. I just can't believe the things that I now enjoy and sometimes crave, it is amazing how life changes. Right now I wouldn't trade my life for anything.
I have finally adjusted to this new schedule and school and have fallen into a semi-normal routine. Thank goodness!
*I will be an aunt again in a few weeks, so stay tuned!
*Please keep my grandpa(he is the one in a lot of pictures with Logan)in your thoughts and prayers. He has a bad case of bronchitis and just got home today from the hospital. He needs to get better soon, as Logan has a list of things he is waiting to do with his Pap.
