Happy 10 Month Birthday Madison
Madison is now tell months old. It is hard to believe that her 1st birthday is only 2 months away! I guess that means I need to get started on her birthday banner and finish her scrapbook. She is now a speed crawler and can get anywhere she want to within seconds. She is also pulling herself up on furniture and cruising around on it. I am sure walking is not too far away. She waves hi and bye and says hi. She also does patty cake and will say the word patty. I guess she figures she has to talk to keep up with her older brother. She has four teeth but she will never show them off for the camera. Overall she is happy and healthy!

4 Wheelin
Logan got his new four wheeler for Christmas but it had remained in my grandparent's basement all winter. Sometimes he would ask to go ride it but we thought he may have forgotten about it. NOT! He started asking late in June if he could take his 4 wheeler outside. We decided the time was right and went over all the rules. Aunt Court had to haul it out of the basement (not a a pretty sight folks) and it was up and running. I am not going to lie, the first night was a mess, the boy tried my patience way to many times, but we have come to a compromise and I have realized that boys will be boys and as long as he is not hurting himself they I just have to let him go. So everytime we are at my grandma's the four-wheeler makes its way out of the building( much easier than getting it out of the basement) and Logan takes off. For the most part he has become a better driver, however last nights conversation was on how he could do wheelies! BOYS!
Today we are headed to a local discovery museum, which should be a lot of fun. Currently Logan is snoozing in my bed, which means I got kicked to the couch last night. The best part about that was I got to sleep on my NEW couch. It was delivered yesterday and I love it. This is my first new piece of large furniture, as everything in the past has been hand me downs. So I am very excited.

Family Reunion
Last Saturday we had a family reunion for my dad's side of the family. It was lots of fun to get together with people that I have not seen in years and catch up. Thanks to Facebook I will be keeping in touch with many of them more often. It was a perfect day, no rain and cool temps(in the high 80's) compared to the 90 degree heat we dealt with the rest of the week. We had fun talking, eating, swimming, eating, playing and more eating. I made a new corn dip recipe and it was really good so I thought I would share it with you.

Happy National Chocolate Day
Logan has spent the last two days at my house. So this morning before he got up I was checking my Facebook updates and KLove was annoucing that today is National Chocolate Day. Well I knew we must celebrate and blog about because there are only a few more hours of this important holiday and you all must get out there and celebrate. Well luckily I had a brownie mix, chocolate frosting and some leftover 4th of July sprinkles. So after Logan got up we started baking. Being the awesome aunt that I am (and because he is going home tonight) I let Logan enjoy the licking the yummy batter, which may or may not have been his breakfast! Do not worry I balanced it out with some watermelon at lunch. So after we finished baking we got dressed and headed to the pool. As you know the pool makes you very hot and hungry so in honor of National Chocolate Day we stopped at Wendy's for some Frostys!! I am really loving this holiday and can't wait to celebrate it next year. I am betting that Logan will be begging to visit my house on July 7th and he may let Madison in on this little secret.
I was going to do a post on the family reunion but that can wait till another day. Get out there and celebrate today!

Happy 4th Of July
I am sure everyone is enjoying this holiday weekend. I have been busy since Thursday and don't have much planned for today, so it will just be a day to rest and relax a little.
Every year I make a visit to my hometown for the Festival of The Bells. There is food, entertainment, and rides. Before the festival starts the firefighters hold a parade with lots of fire trucks and other floats and walking units. It is amazing looking at the pictures and seeing how much Logan has changed. We went from sitting in a stroller because he couldn't walk to a little boy being independent and walking up and down the sidewalk on his own. Before the parade started, the firefighters were called out on fire run so they went racing by. Logan looked up and me and wanted to know if that was it! He also thought their sirens were a little loud as shown in this picture!
The parade finally began and after it was over we headed to the uptown area to take in the festival. Of course it was dinner time so we had to enjoy some festival food.

We figured this year we were not going to be able to avoid the carnival rides. Luckily Logan was happy doing one game and one ride. He is at a hard age because there was not many rides he could do yet. He chose the horses which was accompanied by a few YEE HAWS! The game he did was the fishing game but of course the boy in him had him reaching his hand in and splashing the water!
By the time we finished this Logan was getting tired. We finished checking out some of the booths and talking to a few people and then we headed home.
