Memorial Day Weekend

It was so nice that we were out of school before Memorial Day this year. Around here, Memorial Day weekend is also graduation weekend which means parties to attend as well. Saturday we had my cousin Michael's graduation party. Madison and Logan got their first try on the trampoline and they both loved it. Logan also enjoyed trying out t-ball at the party as well.

On Sunday we spent time with my Aunt. Logan loves his Aunt Weez. We have finally gotten sunny/hot weather so we have enjoyed lots of time playing outside. On Monday I spent the day getting ready for a baby shower we were having as part of out school meeting on Tuesday and sorting through all the school stuff I had brought home.

Catching the softball (the host of the party has all granddaughters which explains all the pink sports gear)

Enjoying a little down time on Sunday
Of course we had to ride the four-wheeler

All that riding made him thirsty so he had to have a watermelon lemonade break!

A Little Madison Time

Logan went to his other grandparents a few weeks ago, so I had Miss Madison.  She is really at a fun age right now. She is expressing herself more and more everyday. Whenever she sees me she starts saying pretty because she knows I am the bow police! You will notice she had about 3 hair styles during that one day. We had fun playing inside because it was so cold and rainy out(this was May).

All pretty for church

Trying to eat an ear of corn

Sacked out on the cot. She does so well on this bed and stays on it until someone comes to get her.

Black and White Wednesday- Where Did The Time Go?

I decided to participate in Lisa's Black and White Wednesday this week. If you have some black and white photos, you should join in the fun over here.

Last night, Madison and I went to the park while Logan was at swimming lessons. It was fun to have some girl time with her even though it was scorching hot! As we were walking down the path to the park, I captured this photo.

I'm pretty sure it was just yesterday that I was pushing her in the stroller down this same path, what happened to that baby.  How quickly to we went from tiny baby to an active toddler on the run. It is hard to believe in just three months she will be turning 2.
Come on Aunt Court!
When did we go from sitting in the stroller taking in the view, to climbing all the steps?
So big sitting at the top of the slide ready to go.
Can you resist this goofy smile?
Love these tiny feet!

Mother's Day

I am so behind, but hopefully I can catch up since I am officially on SUMMER VACATION! I am so ready to be on a slower paced routine and have lots of fun activities planned for two special little ones. I have a lot of stuff to catch up on this week, and blogging is one of them.

We will take a trip back in time to Mother's Day. Things were pretty low key. We had breakfast at church, then Madison and Logan went to their other grandmas, and I spent the afternoon with my grandma and aunt. My mom wasn't feeling well so she spent time relaxing at home. My grandma, aunt and I went to lunch at a local steak place. After that we headed down, we headed out and spent sometime soaking up the sun (because it that time it was a rare occurance)! My aunt brought a beautiful cake that we enjoyed later. On my way home I stopped by and gave my mom her gift and delivered some cake.

This is pure buttercream goodness!

Coming To A Movie Theater Near You

The weekend before Easter, Logan had his first movie experience. My grandma and I took him to see the movie Hop in the theater. He was so excited to see the movie. He loved checking out the candy and snack counter and sitting in the big seats. Funny story- We were about halfway through the movie and he decided to switch to the seat on the other side of my grandma. A little later,  he comes back to sit beside me and I feel his foot and there is no shoe on his foot. I ask him where his shoe is and he said it is lost on the other side. So after the movie I am under the seats looking for the missing shoe! Silly boy! He was also so funny because he kept telling us that we could not eat our popcorn until the movie started. After the movie, we stopped at McD*na*ds for dinner and some playtime.

Easter...finally!

This is my busiest time of the school and we are trying to wrap things up. I so tired of testing, grading, and doing paperwork...ugh! Only 13 more days left, but who is counting!!!! Thank goodness the weather has finally made a turn around, although it is still raining every few days.  I worked Friday night getting my patio area ready and I am so happy with how it turned out( I will post later).

Of course we had rain on Easter, I don't think we expected anything less.Since it rained out our church Easter egg hunt, the kids did an egg hunt in the church basement during children's church.  It did stop for a little bit but then started back up again by the time we would get outside.  The Easter Bunny was very good to Logan and Madison. We even managed to all get a nap in that afternoon! We enjoyed church, dinner out and then opening Easter gifts.
