Lauren Nicole Gifts Giveaway

I am posting about another great giveaway over at Lauren Nicole Gifts. I have won two prizes on this site and she is always giving away things. She has a great selection on monogramed items and personalized jewlery. http://www.laurennicolegifts.blogspot.com/

On an unrelated note, I am officially off for the summer. I don't have any big plans, but I love the relaxed pace of summer. I have a few day trips to the zoo and aquarium planned with Logan but other than that it is just about kicking back and relaxing!

Have a great weekend!

Memorial Day 2009

I had a great Memorial Day weekend. It is always nice to have a 3 day weekend before the last week of school. It lets me refresh for the final push. The weekend started out pretty slow, cleaning on Saturday and church on Sunday. I got Logan on Monday because his mom and dad went to the Reds ball game. We spent the day at my grandparent's farm, which Logan loves. He just got a new bike, so that was the hit of the day. We dodged rain showers, but spent most of the day outside (helps with nap time, since he wears himself out).
I have 2 more days with my kids and a work day on Friday. I am looking forward to summer vacation. I love the relaxed schedule and hopefully, this year, more time with Logan.

Memorial Flashback

Just a quick post tonight. I wanted to share a picture of Logan from this Memorial Day and one from last Memorial Day. I will have a longer post about the holiday weekend, a little bit later in the week. I hope everyone had a safe and happy Memorial Day weekend.
Right now I am watching the new Jon and Kate Plus 8. So far I am disappointed in how things are going. Things do not look good for this couple.

Summer Has Arrived

So I have jumped back into blog land. I was really hesitant at first and needed to adjust some things before going live again. So I am now giving this my second try at blogging. As I have said before my life is not that exciting, but I want to use this as a chance to document my life and the time I spend with my precious nephew Logan.
Since I teach second grade, this is a busy time of year. I am taking this weekend to recoup and get ready for the final rush next week. After today, I feel like there is so much to do, yet not enough time to get it all done. However, I can see the finish line and that is what keeps me motivated.
Summer has finally arrived in Ohio, which means the heat and humidity are on the way. I love spring, unfortunately it seems to get shorter each year. I finally have most of my patio pots planted, just three more to plan tomorrow. I am sharing some photos of my flowers and Logan last weekend.
On a completely different note... Is anyone watching the Southern Belles of Louisville. I think this show has me hooked!

First Post

Well this is my first attempt at blogging. I have spent a lot of time enjoying others blogs and decided to join in on the fun. I am sure my blog will not be as exciting as others out there since I don't have children and my life is pretty ordinary. I love spending time with my nephew, so he will be the focus of most of my posts. I am trying to create as many memories as possible for him. I am into taking photos and scrapbooking the pictures of my nephew. So today is my favorite day of the week. I love my job... but I also love my weekends. I wish I could say that I lead and exciting life on the town but it is mostly spent catching up from the previous week. My Sundays are spent with my nephew Logan, which I always look forward to. This weekend looks pretty dreary so I will probably spent it cleaning, doing laundry and trying to catch up on my scrapbooking. The photo I am posting is of my nephew Logan's first skating experience. We took him to our church's skating party last Sunday. He was uneasy at first but was soon ready for us to let him go on his own. Needless to say, Aunt Courtney is looking for a pair of skates!
