On A Roll

Every year my school PTO hosts a skating party for all the kids and family. I had invited Logan to come last year but thanks to some snow, it was canceled. Of course that was not the problem this mild winter, so the crew all came up for my skating party. Logan was so excited to see all those kids as he calls my students.

This was Logan's second time on skates and Madison's first.  Logan gave it a good try on regular skates but finally switched to the trainer skates so he could be more comfortable. We found out Madison is going to be our little skater. In fact, she loved it so much that she didn't want to leave and threw and kicking and screaming fit.

I am excited to be enjoying a LONG weekend this weekend, thanks to the lack of snow days. Today was one of the calamity makeup days, so since we didn't use it, we get to enjoy it. WOO HOO!
He spent a lot of time on the rail.

Doing the splits!

At first Madison started out like this.

Soon she was all smiles

How sweet is this?

Soon Logan met up with another little girl. Already holding hands with girls at the skating rink!

He got pretty good at it.

We ended the evening checking out the arcade.

We Love Lightning

No not the stuff that flashes in the sky, but rather that little red race car.  Logan is in love with all things C*rs.  I found this pillow pet at our grocery store and knew it would be perfect for Logan for Valentine's Day. I was right, he fell in love. He also enjoyed some money and gift cards from my grandma that day, so he was a happy little guy.

I think I'm in love

Showing off the card I made for him.

Happy guy!

Sunday Snapshot- Where Did The Snow Go?

It has been a crazy winter here in Ohio. We have had warm temps, rain, and no snow. I must admit part of me has enjoyed the warm weather and not having to hassle with all the things that come along with snow. Of course the other part is disappointed that there have been no snow days and no playing in the snow.  I know one 4 year old that is very disappointed in the lack of snow. We did get one small snow in February and luckily for Logan it drifted so there were some spots left to play in. I had to laugh at the pictures because I am standing on green  grass and he is up to his knees in snow.  We made the best of it and when your 4 you love snow in any form. So it looks like that may be it for the snow since the temps are forcasted to be in the 70's this week!

Someone looks like they are up to no good

The rule was he had to tell me before throwing a snowball so I could put the camera away.

We had to shovel on the grass because there was none on the drive

Ready for another snowball

Twins

Wow, I didn't realize it had been that long since I posted. Let's just say conference week and interim reports are kicking my butt. I have one more round of parent teacher conferences tomorrow night, two carry ins tomorrow and then hopefully I am done for a while. WHOO HOO!! Actually the days are slipping by, I think we are in the 60's for how many school days we have left. Speaking of 60's that is what the temperature has been here lately. Logan and I played outside yesterday and I had on a fleese vest and long sleeve shirt and was fine. Crazy for February.

So back to the twin thing. One of Madison's gifts for Christmas from my grandma was a doll with matching pj's. So when Madison came up for a sleepover, she brought her doll and jammies. Of course I couldn't resist a photo shoot.  I am also throwing in a few playtime shots from when she was here.

Hope everyone has a great work week,I am hoping it goes fast!!!!!!!!!!!

Love Is In The Air

*Okay I just realized I forgot to post this. So it is a day late. The good news is I survived the Valentine's Party and now we are coasting into a long weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Valentine's Day!   I spent last night preparing all the goodies for today's Valentine's party. The kids are super excited and I am sure it will be a wonderful day. I decided to blog about a beautiful wedding we attended a few weeks ago. It was a very special wedding as it was the wedding of one of the girls I used to babysit and we have grown up in the church together. Now when I say babysit, she was older so I wasn't changing diapers (that is what I tell myself so I don't feel so old)! It was a beautiful winter wedding and I am sure they will have a wonderful life together.  They had a fun photo booth which was lots of fun for the guest. Logan's mom dropped him off at the end of the reception so he got in on a little of the dancing. Please excuse his attire, he wasn't wearing his wedding attire!
