Princess Breakfast

It is hard to believe that 2014 is just days away from being over. The holiday season has been crazy so I am looking forward to a bit of rest in January.

Back in November, I took Madison to a princess breakfast hosted by one of the dance schools. My friend Kyla and her two girls joined us and we had so much fun. They served breakfast and while the girls were eating they got to visit with the princess's. After they finished eating they were able to go to a coloring station and we were able to take pictures with the princess.  The girls had a blast and it was a memorable morning for them.

Excited to meet her favorite princess.

October Wrap

I would love to do some individual posts but I know that if I am ever going to get caught up, I need to do one more wrap-up post. October was pretty uneventful.  I love the fall season but this year it was short. Winter and cold have made their appearance pretty early and I am pretty sure they are here to stay. At the end of October I took Madison for the weekend and we went to a local trick or treat event for charity. She enjoyed walking around and trick or treating. She was a witch but the hat is not in many pictures from that night because it was so windy it kept blowing off. We ended the evening with dinner out and a movie at home.

Ready for Trick or Treating

Sorting through her loot

She picked a Tootsie Roll for her one piece of candy to enjoy before bedtime.

She had to pose for a picture with Bella
She had some homework to work for preschool so we did that.

Ready for church!

Happy Birthday Logan!

How can he be seven. I say it every year and every year I wonder how the time passes by so quickly. I remember sitting in that waiting room waiting for him to arrive. Holding him for the first time was magical and I was instantly in love. The challenges have come up along the way but being this guys aunt is totally worth it. It was amazing to see him reading and doing math last week. I taught 1st grade for 4 years but I had forgotten how much growth they make that year.  He is so smart and I am so proud of him.

Happy 7th Birthday Logan!

Meet The Newest Addition

Miss Bella joined my family three weeks ago. I have always entertained the thought of having a pet and cat is low maintenance for apartment living. A friend of mine got Bella's brother first and I absolutely fell in love. The lady that she got hers from still had two left. I thought about it for a few days and decided to take the leap. So I messaged her on a Sunday afternoon and by Sunday night I was a cat owner. We spent the first few days learning the ropes and she spent a lot of time under my couch. Now however she is a total lovebug and I wouldn't trade her for the world. She lays on the couch or computer while I am trying to work and snuggles either at my feet or head in bed. Needless to say, I'm in LOVE!

September Wrap Up

Wow I can't believe it has been almost a month since I have last updated. It has been a whirlwind of activity. I have been busy with school and friends. The days and weekends seem to be going by in a blink. I am enjoying every minute of being busy because I know soon the snowflakes will start to fall and the winter slump will be upon us. Last week I finally said goodbye to the last bit of vertigo, yes it has been 4 months since it first started so I am more than happy to see it go. We are almost through the first nine weeks of school. We are getting into our groove, and the students have stolen my heart. We have a new little guy that has come to our class and his story is tough but we are all determined so I am excited to see what big plans God has in store with this situation. Logan and Madison are both in school and learning new things everyday. It is so exciting to see Logan reading and writing, I had forgotten how much fun 1st grade is.

September brought with it lots of fair fun and pumpkin patch fun. It also brought Madison's 5th birthday. I'll let the pictures do the rest of the talking.
