Logan got his first play dough set for Christmas, compliments of Aunt Court. I found this really cool construction set and knew it would be perfect for him. I was right and it has become a weekly request. He loves to make bricks with it and it even has a mold to make orange construction cones.
On a totally different note, we finally had our first snow day on Friday. WOO HOO! It was a great surprise to have a long weekend. It is snowing like crazy again tonight, so maybe I have another one in my future!!!

Another Year Older
Yes that time of year has rolled around when I get to turn a year older. My birthday was a while back ago on January 3rd. We celebrated my birthday with my family the Sunday before New Year's. My grandma made lunch and then we celebrated with cake and presents. Of course I had two eager helpers! Turning another year older is not so bad, when you have such cute help. If you notice my pictures have some extra sparkle, I forgot to take it out of that mode before my brother started shooting the photos.
This was a present from my brother. It is a toliet tatoo (it was a payback gift from the poo pourri gift that I got him for Christmas). Look up the poo pourri, you will laugh! FYI- Toliet Tatoos do not work!

Snow Much Fun!
We were blessed with two snowstorms the week after Christmas which meant being forced to stay inside and work on some projects and going out and playing in the snow. Logan loves playing in the snow and would stay out for hours if you let him. Madison is not thrilled with the snow and was ready to go in and stay in after her first sled run down the hill. We had to stick to sledding, shoveling, and snow angels as this was not a great snowman building snow.
He thought this shovel with wheels was lots of fun. It was my grandfathers when he was a young boy and he would shovel sidewalks to make money.

Christmas 2012
Well I am finally getting around to posting about Christmas. This year was fun because both kids really got it. They were both excited about the day and loved playing with all their new toys. Of course the kids may have been a little spoiled from Aunt Court, but that is my job. Logan got remote control cars, blocks, and lots of cars. Madison got Fur Real Pets, a jewlery box and some pretend play stuff. Note that not all the stuff in these pictures is from me. This is Christmas with my parents, grandma and aunt.
I was blessed with a Keurig, a new Diamond toothbrush that I love(it feels like I have been to the dentist for a cleaning everyday), and some new Christmas decorations. I think the pictures really speak for themselves.

Christmas Eve
I didn't plan to leave this much time between posts, but the first week back really kicked me in the booty. It was hard getting back in the routine and on top of that it was the end of the semester. Fingers crossed this week will be better.
Christmas Eve, we always spend it with my mom's extended family. We have meat trays and then all kinds of snacks, dips, and desserts. This year Madison stayed with me Christmas Eve day. I was in charge of getting her ready. I decided she needed a little accessory for the evening, so she got to open one of her Christmas presents early. I bought her, her first real big girl necklace. She kept showing everyone and asking them if they had a big girl necklace.
As always we ate way too much but had loads of fun visiting with family. I got there and discovered I had forgotten my camera, luckily my aunt remembered hers!

Church Christmas Program
Every year our church has a Christmas dinner followed by a program. This year I skipped the dinner so I could get in short visit from one of my friends, who was in from Georgia. I made it back to the church in time for the program. Logan started out the program as a donkey in the manger scene. Earlier in the day, he thought he was going to be a cow, so he was practicing his best moo. I explained that he had to be quiet during the program but he explained to me that real cows aren't quiet! How can you argue with that! He ended up being a very quiet donkey.
He also decided to do a solo of one of his favorite Christmas songs Jingle Bells. We were so proud that he was willing to get up and perform. We have a come along way.
So sad that today is my first day back to work. I love my job and kids but I am just not ready to go back, I love my time off. I'm sure I will get back into the routine, but I may need a quick nap when I get home tonight.

You Can't Catch Me, I'm The Gingerbread Man
As crazy as the before Christmas rush was, I must admit I am loving the extra time off after Christmas. It made me realize how much I needed this time to rest and relax.
Before Christmas, Logan and I were browsing a local store, where we found these adorable giant gingerbread men. The best part was they were marked down on clearance-SCORE! I grabbed two and we ran home to let Logan start decorating his. The kids included everything needed to make a gingerbread man. Logan kept asking me if when he finished, would it get up and run!
Madison got her turn to make hers on Christmas Eve. Overall they were a big hit!
