Breakfast With Santa

Last Saturday, my mom and I took Logan to have breakfast with Santa. It was a really nice event. The kids got a personalized Santa necklace, reindeer antlers, the got to make a placemat, an ornament, an snowflake, get their face painted, decorate 2 cookies and get a photo with Santa. It was nice because you could move through the activities and breakfast at your own pace. Logan loved doing all the activities.  He is still a little unsure of Santa. He doesn't scream but he doesn't always look happy either. We still haven't gotten a really good photo yet.
This weekend, I am going to a friend's Christmas party tonight and then tomorrow our church is having their holiday dinner. I have one more week of school left, then I am off for two weeks. Have a great weekend!

He loved the singing snowmen that were decorating the tables.

All I Want For Christmas...

Logan has been expressing his Christmas wish list for a while now. Below are a few of the things he wants and keep in mind that he wants the size shown in the pictures!!! I am not sure Santa will be putting these models under the tree, but maybe some smaller versions. Logan will also tell people that Ho-Ho is going to bring Court a new car. Hope Santa is planning on making the car payments too!

Tamales For Thanksgiving

Madison with her new Christmas Doll from Aunt Court Logan hugging his hooded towel that Aunt Court gave him. Looking at his scrapbook The weekend before Thanksgiving, we got together with my dad's side of the family. As a tradition with his family, when we get together my aunt makes Tamales. This is a nice break from the typical holiday fare. Everyone else brings items to share and no one goes home with an empty stomach. Logan proved that he is an official member of the family by tasting and enjoying these yummy treats! I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. Saturday morning, Logan and I are headed to a Breakfast with Santa and on Sunday we are going caroling at the nursing home and assisted living with our church. Update on Tyler- My parents went to the hospital yesterday to see Tyler. He is still hooked up to a lot of machines, but he is responding to yes and no questions and continues to heal. They are prepared for a long recovery, but are thankful for the recovery process. I saw pictures of the car he was in and it was truly a miracle that he made it out alive. Thank for the continued prayers.

Winning Wednesday

A few weeks ago Shelby over at Bringing Up Madison hosted a giveaway. She was giving away a great t-shirt from Luna B Tees. They have tons of adorable tees, so I would suggest heading over there and checking them out. Shelby's daughter Madison is adorable too, so I would head over there and soak up some cuteness!

Update on Tyler- As of Sunday, they had taken out the respirator and he was breathing on his own. Also he was responding to commands, so these are both good signs. He has a long road ahead. My parents are going to the hospital today,so hopefully they will have some more good news. Thanks for all your prayers.

Thanksgivng Recap

We spent Thanksgiving Day with my mom's side of the family. My grandma's four sisters rent out a clubhouse and we all gather there for the Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve.  We have 4 turkeys, 20 pounds of mashed potatoes and plenty of other side dishes and desserts. It is always a day spent catching up with everyone, as this is they only time we get together with most of the famly. Logan had a blast and was mesmorized by the pool table, he even slipped a few balls into the pockets. Madison was not happy most of the day(this seems to be a pattern with her), hopefully she will outgrow this soon. About 4:00 everyone pulls out the Black Friday ads and starts forming the game plan. I am not one of those people, but I enjoy going through the ads. On Thanksgiving evening, I took my grandma and Logan home to my grandparents house and  spent the night. Logan spent all day Friday with me and then we switched about 5 and I had Madison for a few hours. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and Black Friday for all those shopping warriors!

Prayer Request

I posted this yesterday, but I am not seeing it showing up on the blog again (crazy computer). There is a young man at our church who was involved in a serious car accident yesterday morning. He is in critical condition, with a broken back. He is still in a coma. They have done multiple surgeries in the past two days.  His family needs lots of prayers right now, as the future is still unknown.
